Aren’t Sunscreens All The Same

Aren’t Sunscreens All The Same

There are several kinds of sunscreens today. Since we all have different skin types, there are sunscreens that will cater to everyone’s needs.

But one important thing all sunscreens should have is full protection from UVA and UVB rays.

So let’s see what type would be best for you.

For those with sensitive skin, look for all natural sunscreens. They should be PABA-free, oil-free, fragrance-free and chemical-free. These sunscreens are mineral based and hypoallergenic. This also works for kids.

If you are prone to acne, use sunscreens that are light and fragrance-free so they won’t clog your pores. Look for the compounds avobenzone and oxybenzone in these products.

The best sunscreens to use for oily skin are those that are mineral and oil-free. These are usually water or gel based. They are also non-comedogenic which means they won’t clog your pores.

Now for those on the opposite side of the spectrum, the ones with dry skin should get moisturizing or hydrating creams with ingredients like glycerin and aloe. Avoid sunscreen sprays and gels with alcohol

It’s best to know your skin type so you can determine which sunscreen would be most effective for you.
